If you transfer ownership of your car (for example, through private sale, dealer trade-in, or gift), there are several things you need to do.
- Provide the new owner or dealership with the Motion for Audi Connect user guide. This is the guide that the dealer should have given you when you had the hardware installed. The new owner will need the guide as it includes a label with the unique IMEI barcode of the hardware that is installed in the vehicle.

Additionally, you must delete the hardware from your Motion for Audi Connect account so that the new owner can claim it. To delete your hardware from your Motion for Audi Connect account, follow these steps:
- With your vehicle safely parked and turned off, select Devices from the main menu of the Motion for Audi Connect app
- Tap on the device that is installed in your vehicle
- At the bottom of the screen, tap Delete Device
If you no longer have the guide with the IMEI number, please inform the new owner or dealer that Motion for Audi Connect hardware is installed and that they should contact Audi for Motion Connect support to obtain the IMEI number.
