It's possible that the Motion for Audi connect app may incorrectly identify the start or end locations of a trip in your trip history. This is usually caused by a combination of GPS technology accuracy along with the data calculated by Google Maps.
Your Motion for Audi connect device uses GPS latitude/longitude data to identify the vehicle's location at any given time. In ideal circumstances (e.g., open skies condition), accuracy is within a 16-foot range. This data is then sent to Google Maps for calculating and displaying your vehicle location on the map on your phone. Google Maps has a tolerance range of 100 meters (300 feet) in a straight-line distance from the reported location to the calculated location (again, in ideal circumstances).
In situations where your vehicle starts or ends in an area with a poor GPS signal (typically, a parking garage), the location might be incorrectly placed in the app.
